Clinical Audit Award to Platelet Researchers

The Platelet Society is delighted to announce that funding for a clinical audit titled “An audit of platelet transfusion practice within a large District General Hospital Intensive Care Unit” has been awarded to Dr Criag Hughes from the University of Reading. In Collaboration with Tyler Horn, a postgraduate student at Reading and Dr Liza Keating and Dr Matthew Frise who are clinicans at the Royal Berkshire Hosptial. This work will provide an aufit of clinical practive around platelet transfusions with a view to updating clinical practice guidelines.
