Platelet Society Summer Studentship 2024

We are delighted to announce that our summer studentships for 2024 have been awarded to the following undergraduate students.

Mohamed Zaman will be working with Dr Matt Hindle at Leeds Beckett University. He will be working on a project entitled “Assessment of platelet function in capillary blood”.

Katie Sheridan will be working with Dr Katie Murray at Manchester University investigating the impact of microvascular obstruction on myelination using optical imaging.

Mohamed and Katie will spend 8 weeks over the summer gaining laboratory experience in platelet laboratories and hopefully developing their interest in all things platelet! We look forward to reading about their projects later in the year.
