Gus Born 100th Anniversary Memorial Lecture
The Platelet Society is delighted to annoucne that Professor Beverley Hunt will by giving the Gustav Born Anniversary lecture.
Gus Born, a pioneer in the study of platelets, sadly passed away in 2018. 2021 would have been the occasion of his 100th Birthday and to mark this his family, friends and colleagues have organised a “100 Year Anniversary Memorial Lecture”.
Professor Hunt, herself an international expert in Thrombosis, will give a public lecture on “Global understanding of the importance of thrombosis and haemostasis” to an audience at Queen Mary University London on Wednesday 17th November at 6pm (GMT). The lecture will also be broadcast live via Zoom and recorded. The recording will be available afterwards via the Platelet Society YouTube channel.
