The costs for registration are as follows

Main Meeting – Platelet Society Members Rate* – £400 (includes attendance at the main meeting on the 10th and 11th September and accommodation and dinner on the 10th September)

Main Meeting – Platelet Society Non-Members Rate – £500 (includes attendance at the main meeting on the 10th and 11th September and accommodation and dinner on the 10th September)

ECR and Main Meeting – Platelet Society Members Rate* – £400 (includes attendance at the ECR meeting on the 9th September and the main meeting on the 10th and 11th September and accommodation and dinner on the 9th & 10th September)

ECR and Main Meeting – Platelet Society Non-Members Rate* – £500 (includes attendance at the ECR meeting on the 9th September and the main meeting on the 10th and 11th September and accommodation and dinner on the 9th & 10th September)

Additional Accommodation – £95 per night (available on the 8th or 9th September)

The first day is aimed specifically at Early Career Researchers so please only select this option if you are an Early Career Researcher.

Day delegate rates are also available. These include attendance, lunch and refreshments, but not evening meal or accommodation (£85 members / £125 non-members)

Important Information

You are considered eligible for ECR rates for meeting registration if you meet ANY of the following criteria:

Are currently registered as an undergraduate or postgraduate taught student

Are currently a postgraduate research student (MRes, PhD, DClinSci etc)

Are a research assistant, postdoctoral research associate/fellow or research technician working in the lab of another researcher/principal investigator.

Research fellows working on independent projects with their own independent funding (>£100k FEC per year) will be charged at full member registration rates – but are welcome to attend the ECR day for career development purposes – you can indicate this as part of your registration.

ECRs must upload a signed letter of support from their principal investigator/supervisor on a University letterheaded document confirming their position and eligibility.

* Current membership of the Platelet Society required to qualify for these rates. Membership of The Platelet Society costs £25 per year. You can join the Platelet Society now and then get the reduced rate for the meeting. You will then also enjoy the benefits of membership and further reduced rates for any events whilst you are a current member.

To register an individual for the meeting you have the option to

pay directly by credit card or
be invoiced and pay by bank transfer.

For payment by invoice a valid purchase order number must be provided as part of the registration process.

To register as an ECR you will be required to upload a letter from your PI / Line Manager as part of the registration process.

Please note: If you wish to register more than one person (e.g. a whole lab) and pay in a single transaction, please email us at info@plateletsociety.co.uk and we will arrange to collect the information and issue an invoice.

Presenter Information

Oral presentations

Please prepare your talks using Microsoft PowerPoint. Talks should be 10 mins long with an additional 5 mins allowed for questions. Please bring your presentation with you on a USB drive. In the break before your session please speak to the session chair to arrange loading and checking your talk. Please note that connecting your own laptop to the equipment is not possible.

Poster presentations

Please print your poster in portrait format, no larger than A0 size. Posters should be hung at the beginning of the meeting and will be viewable throughout. Please collect your poster at the end of the meeting.
