UK Platelet Group and The Platelet Charity merge to form the Platelet Society

The Platelet Society has been formed through the coming together of The UK Platelet Group and The Platelet Charity.

The Platelet Society supports new and ongoing research into platelet-related diseases. Members of the Platelet Society are actively engaged in researching all aspects of platelet biology, from how they are made to how they work normally and how they go wrong in disease.

The Platelet Charity reformed as The Platelet Society in March 2017,
following the merger with the UK Platelet Group. This brings together everyone from patients to clinicians to scientists, to fully support all research and education in platelet-related diseases.
